WHO IS FEELA?

Feela’s World is a sonic journey and documentation of a year-long project across Latin America. Feela’s World embodies a practice of deep listening and a return to a personal creative space after a lifetime of creative practice within shared spaces with other musicians and artists.

Deep listening is a long and slow action. It requires embodiment and presence. Our ability to listen is largely eroded by all kinds of noise intruding in our daily environment. Media and entertainment serve as means of control and distraction. In today’s climate of constant non-stop violence, oppression, continued destruction of our planet for the singular goal of exploiting and profitting from our labour and bodies, Feela is focused on finding better ways to listen and understand the people and environment around her.
